Who we are?

Universal-Investment-Luxembourg S.A. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Universal-Investment-Gesellschaft mbH, Frankfurt am Main. With more than € 130 billion in funds under management (December 2011), more than 1000 special investor and mutual fund mandates and around 400 employees at both locations, our group is one of Germany’s biggest and most successful investment companies.


Independent – because as the joint subsidiary of prestigious private banks, our parent company is one of the few neutral fund companies in Germany. This independence naturally also applies to us and is a key pillar of our business model, a factor highly valued by our clients – institutional investors, fund promoters and private investors.

Experienced - because our parent has played a pioneering role in Germany’s fund landscape for 40 years. In 1970, we launched the first private label fund – a first for the industry. Since then several of these special mutual funds have been launched in collaboration with domestic and overseas partners. In 1990 Universal-Investment launched the first master fund for institutional investors in Germany, and was thus operating as a Master-KAG long before the concept was taken up by the industry at large.

Innovative - because our group is in the vanguard of technological innovation in the fund industry. The wishes and needs of our clients have always been the key drivers behind these innovations. As specialists for every type of fund administration service and as a full service provider, a high performance IT infrastructure is a key pre-requisite.
